Wedding Breakfast

So for the wedding breakfast, fingers crossed on the weather, we will be having it outside with everyone on one big long table... it will be buffet style but I am hoping to have all the food on the table in big rustic dishes.  Imagine a big family dinner with home cooked food.
The venue we have booked are big on using locally sourced in season food... which I am very happy with as September is the time of harvests and our home towns are farming land!

This is my ideas for our wedding breakfast menu...

Starters
Smoked haddock (or similar) risotto cakes
Aubergine & tomato tartlets
Seasonal soup (with home made bread)

Main
Spiced lamb  cassoulet
Beef stew with tarragon dumplings
Fish Pie
Sausages
Served with seasonal vegetables (Beans/peas, beetroot, tomato, carrots leeks, mushroom, Swede, sweet corn and spring onion), spiced sweet potato and creamy mashed potato
Gravy / spicy gravy

Dessert
Fresh berries, meringue and ice cream
