Gainey Vineyard Wedding Venue

So a little shout out to my name sake - Gainey is my (maiden) surname!

The Gainey Vineyard is located in the Santa Ynez Valley, the heart of Santa Barbara's Wine Country. Surrounded by 85 acres of premium vineyards, rolling hills and gracious oaks, it makes an intimate and unique location for all of your special events. Conveniently located on Highway 246, we are easily accessed from both the north and south. The grounds are perfectly suited for a variety of indoor and outdoor events. We feature five separate areas to accommodate all of your needs.

Vineyard View Picnic AreaThis area is located adjacent to the vineyard on the east side of the patio. Used for picnicking on a daily basis, it is reserved for our wedding ceremony site and reception area. With wedding-style seating, it can accommodate approximately 200 guests and is ample room for an "after ceremony" reception. Two spectacular California Oaks shade this area, with beautiful mountain and vineyard views.

The CourtyardOur Courtyard is the large, outdoor circular area located at the main entrance of the winery. There is a large, grassy, sycamore-shaded circle ideal for food and beverage service, surrounded by a large, circular, smooth cement surface that can accommodate up to 500 guests. Vineyards with sweeping mountain views border this courtyard.

The RanchThis rustic, country setting is a half-mile scenic ride from the winery, located on the old homestead site of the Gainey Ranch. The site is home to rolling hills, majestic oak trees, and an original 1890's Barn. The basic use fee for this site is $2,000.00, but please note that additional charges apply to the use of this site. Please call Diane Connors at (805)688-0558 ext.14 for further information.

Please Note: We cannot be held responsible for inclement weather, and do not have alternate locations in the event of rain. If you choose to make other location arrangements, your deposit will not be refunded.

We have two fee schedules, depending on whether you use an outside caterer
(we have a full kitchen facility for them to use) or whether you choose to have
Gainey Vineyard cater your event with one of our Santa Ynez-style Barbecues.

Gainey Vineyard-Catered Barbecues for WeddingsThis type of Barbecue has been designed to meet your wedding special interests -- with the distinct flavor of a Santa Ynez-style Oak-Pit Barbecue.

Site Use Fee: $4,500.00 - Saturday & Sunday
$4,000.00 - Friday
$2,000.00 - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Cake Cutting: $ 75.00 (includes table and table linen)
Service Charge: 18% of total food and beverage sales
Sales Tax: 7.75% sales tax applies to all fees

ALL MENU PRICES INCLUDE CHINA, SILVER, LINEN TABLECLOTHS AND NAPKINS, TABLES AND CHAIRS. If you wish disposable plates, napkins and plastic ware -- deduct $3.00 from the above listed prices. Standard service for the meal is all-you-can-eat buffet-style. All beverages are self-service. Note: there will be a charge for additional chairs if having a wedding ceremony. Should you prefer to rent wooden folding chairs with padded seats, floor-length tablecloths, gift table, additional linens, skirting for cake or banquet tables, heaters, or a dance floor, these items can be provided at additional rental costs. Please call for current prices. Hors d'oeuvres can be specially arranged.

Private Catering for Weddings

Site Use Fee: $5,500.00 - Saturday & Sunday
$5,000.00 - Friday
$3,000.00 - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Kitchen Use Fee: $ 225.00 (if your caterer will be using our kitchen)
Barbecue Pit Use: $ 85.00 (with prior arrangement)
Oak Wood for Barbecue: $ 70.00 (with prior arrangement)
*Please note that other fees will apply.

If you would like to use Gainey Vineyard for your wedding site only, the use fee is $3,800.00. Four hours are allowed for set-up and ceremony use. Depending upon the number of guests attending, a minimum of one Gainey staff member is required and billed at $25.00 per hour per person. All clean-up must be provided by the client. A security deposit of $500.00 is required and will be refunded in full if no other clean-up is required after your ceremony. Clean-up must take place immediately following the event, or by 9:00am the following morning. Beverage service can be provided. All service charges apply
