GET THE LOOK: Campaign Themed Wedding

Well, I really have no answer for this theme, but we are all (or should be) keeping up with local & global politics... as the world is changing!

If you fancy a political or campaign themed wedding, here are a few ideas:

GET THE LOOK: Coffee Themed Wedding

As you know I was travelling America and Europe the last two months,.. and next week is National Tea Pot week.  So we must obviously cover a coffee themed wedding, the American and Europeans love the stuff, and seems rather disappointed I don't drink the black gold!

Below is my take on this smooth, dark, and rich theme... (a Colombian bean, not a Nespresso)!

GET THE LOOK: Tea Themed Wedding

Being British obviously I love a good cuppa tea... but if I have the choice I always go for green tea.  Whilst I was away travelling, (you are all going to get sick of that opener soon aren't you :)), tea with milk or tea at all is not a big thing in America or Europe... so when I requested tea it usually came black with a slice of lemon and I've really started to enjoy this.  If it wasn't for the caffeine and the concern of staining my teeth I'd drink it all the time!

Next week is also National Tea Pot Week (9 - 15th July): http://www.tea.co.uk/make-a-perfect-brew

If like me you are not a big coffee drinker and want to embrace a hot beverage themed wedding... try this lovely Tea Theme idea.

Wedding Cakes - Ladyfingers

So I've been travelling America and Europe for the last 9 weeks and whilst I was in Italy I eat more lady-finger biscuits than is probably acceptable...

But I can not get enough of the spongy, sugary, crunchiness... and if like me you are mad for a couple, how about having a lady-finger wedding cake (and cakes, tiramisu/ trifel)?

Lady-fingers can also be chillies or Okra.

America Plans...

London to San Francisco, then by train to LA, LA to New Orleans (takes two days going across the southern states) then, train up to Chicago through the central states and finally over to New York, in total taking a month

I'm really looking forward to the second half of the trip after LA... in San Fran I am going to see Alcatraz and the Golden Gate bridge... LA cover the usual tourist stuff

But I would really appreciate some tips, if you are local or been there let me know so I can really make the most of these fantastic places : )

Hello new world!

Gals, and Guys I have some exciting news... I have quit my job and will take two months out from May to travel America and Europe.  I am so very happy - I will admit it was risky giving up a good job, stability, my life in London but you get to a point where you have to see the world and make the most of the life you live, don't you?  I don't want to regret anything.  I broke up with my ex H2B, not just because it wasn't working but because I freaked out and felt I had missed my youth...

Until the end of April keep any eye out for my Wedding Theme posts... but if you fancy looking into my travel plans and then my travel experience or just what I get up to in my spare time you can follow me at www.bectheblog.blogspot.com or @becky_theblog on Twitter.

GET THE LOOK - Thanksgiving Themed Wedding

So tomorrow is Thursday 24th Nov 2011, Thanksgiving in America... I am celebrating my first Thanksgiving at my bosses house as she is American and invited us all over.

I love the autumn inspired colours & feast... which reminds me of what my ex H2B and I were going to have on our big day.  Here are a few ideas if you fancy a Thanksgiving themed wedding day.

Reds, browns, oranges and yellows!
