GET THE LOOK: Tea Themed Wedding

Being British obviously I love a good cuppa tea... but if I have the choice I always go for green tea.  Whilst I was away travelling, (you are all going to get sick of that opener soon aren't you :)), tea with milk or tea at all is not a big thing in America or Europe... so when I requested tea it usually came black with a slice of lemon and I've really started to enjoy this.  If it wasn't for the caffeine and the concern of staining my teeth I'd drink it all the time!

Next week is also National Tea Pot Week (9 - 15th July): http://www.tea.co.uk/make-a-perfect-brew

If like me you are not a big coffee drinker and want to embrace a hot beverage themed wedding... try this lovely Tea Theme idea.

So we did the iconic city of New York, now we must do my current home town of London baby... the beautiful, viberant, ever changing capital city of the England!

Black cabs, red buses, red telephone boxes, Royal family, Big Ben and the River Thames...

London themed seating plan - you could also use the tube map and name the tables after the lines (aka Baker Loo line - Brown)

GET THE LOOK - Afternoon Tea Themed Wedding

Afternoon Tea Themed Wedding... LOVE IT!  So 'in' right now, bring back the Britishness... this is also a great idea for Hen Party's.

To me Afternoon Tea is decadent, regal, relaxed and scrumptious.  It can also be vintage garden chic.  Parisian royalty or British street party.

If you decided to go for an Afternoon Tea theme wedding reception, you can hire great china from many wedding supplier these days (if your venue doesn't already have any you like)!  To add to the affect include lots of garden flowers, pastel colours, round tables with cushioned chairs (if possible)... maybe try an outside setting.
