It's my Wedding and I'll Pin Board if I like!

Here is my 'pin board' with wedding ideas for when I finally get my big day, if it ever happens...

Small wedding ceremony September / October in Scotland for an autumn feel with just family

http://www.cringletie.com/ or http://www.kilconquharcastleweddings.co.uk/

Sit down buffet meal - like a family meal

Two dresses (cheap), one for the ceremony, one for the reception

Flowers / Decorations: Simple thistle and navy flower posy - lots of candles ad fairy lights for decoration

Bridesmaid / guest can wear what they like - we want a smart casual feel

Groom - to wear a blazer and jeans as shown here in my previous post: http://yourweddingsupport.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/and-groom-wore-jeans.html

Invites - fun wedding invite with a picture of us being silly!

NO photographer (guests need to grab their mobiles) / no car / no gifts / no seating plan - no hassle!

Party with friends 'reception'

Big party back near our home in a local pub for all friends who didn't get invited to the wedding ceremony, put some money behind the bar and put of a spit roast - have a great, fun, relaxed evening that should save our guest money and the un-comfortableness that comes with being a wedding guest most the time!

GET THE LOOK: Birthday Themed Wedding

So I realised yesterday there is a month until my birthday, which got my thinking.. a lot of guys propose on birthdays (is this an easy option?), so could you get married on your birthday or have a birthday themed wedding, after all a birthday doesn't have a theme other than to celebrate!

I just want to party!

So after my last attempt at getting married and my recent experience of weddings and I am fortunate enough to get engaged again I will be having a 'run away' wedding... and then a party at the local pub later for all the friends and family who weren't invited...

No dress code, no first dance, no cake, no limit on plus ones, no seating plan, no wedding list.

I am seeing a local pub, spring or summer time, a couple of drinks then a pay bar, some food but nothing specific, a late afternoon evening 'do' - come as you please, bring who you please.  Get drunk and celebrate.

If people want to leave a message in a guest book I am not against that, be good if we had a instant camera and I am more than happy to accept gifts not that we'll expect it!

GET THE LOOK - BBQ Wedding

The oh so popular BBQ Theme...

We'll not sure where you are, but here in London (UK) it is defintely BBQ weather...tummy rubbles!  So what is a cheap and easy way to feed your guests at a wedding - a BBQ, and you could go that extra step and make it a BBQ themed wedding.  Hot dog bridesmaids anyone? : )
