Wedding Planning... so far

The fiance and I got engaged Sept 14th, and after a weeks break got straight into the wedding planning as we are getting married May 8th 2015... giving us only 7 or so months to plan!

Thankfully we had found the reception venue pre engagement, so I just went a head and confirmed that... then we viewed 3 venues for the ceremony, once that was decided we booked the registrar.

We have also confirmed the big items: marquee hire / toilets / photographer / catering and gave notice of marriage.

H2B & Bestman are in charge of finding beer kegs to hire & bar, PA system and suits.

Bridesmaid and myself are doing the DIY element, which turns out eBay and Amazon are amazing for.

As we are having a wedfest I've been buying bunting, face paint, glow sticks, glitter, temporary tattoos...

And tomorrow I have my first wedding dress shopping appointment at House Of Vintage in Shoreditch London.

So much still to do and sadly its all the bitty stuff that needs to wait until closer the date!

Wedding Website... I do?

So HopFest2015 is now in full swing planning mode...it has come up in conversation and just in general research, should be have a wedding website or not?

I was think I could just link it to my blog, through blogger and it might be a good place for people to find info?! But is it impersonal and does anyone actually look at it?

To blog or not to blog...that is the question.

GET THE LOOK: Ferrero Themed Wedding

Who doesn't love Ferrero Rocher chocolates... and gold is a lovely colour for a wedding.  Orange, brown, red, and gold are all you need to bring this theme together and of course lots of chocolates.  Also another benefits is it's a cheap at home DIY wedding if you want it to be :)

GET THE LOOK; Marmite Themed Wedding

You either love it or you hate it, I love it, my brother loves it... but I know a lot of people that also hate it.  If you are a super Marmite fan and love it as much as you love your better half, how about a Marmite themed wedding?

Wedding Breakfast... Marmite Toast ;)  Yellow, black and brown should be the colours of choice!

GET THE LOOK: Patchwork Wedding Theme

So last in bed, its was hot and I slept under my throw, which is kind of patchwork, that gave me a great idea for a rustic, cosy, vintage cottage styled themed wedding!

Here is my take on how that would look...

GET THE LOOK: Rio Themed Wedding

As we are all embracing the London 2012 Olympics... woooaaa go Team GB!!  How about a Rio themed wedding in honour of the 2016 Rio Olympics.

For those of us not yet engaged or planning a wedding a long way off, or if you just like the theme.

Virtual Wedding Planner

Would you hire a virtual wedding planner?  My day job, when I am not blogging about our big day or wedding themes is as a Executive Assistant for a digital media company in London.

The H2B has mentioned possibly relocating back home in 'the shire' (Hereford/Malvern) if he starts his own business and I am having diffiuclties finding EA jobs back home...so since I am now ADDICTED to weddings I thought maybe I could become a virtual wedding plannner?

Cheaper than your traditional wedding planner as I'll be based from home, but it wouldn't be completely faceless?!

Would that be something you would consider as a bride to be or asa supplier?
