GET THE LOOK - Car Themed Wedding

As we are shortly coming into F1 season I've taken that as inspiration for a wedding theme.  Not necessarily the first idea that springs to mind when you say wedding theme, but you can definitely see how I got there.  The wedding arrival and departure as husband and wife are important parts of the day... so why not go all the way and make car's the theme!  A good choice if you or your partner are car mad...

You can take this theme one of two ways, vintage/retro cars (ranging from 20's to 50's) or racing cars!

Now that H2B and I are back on track, we are reviewing our wedding (including the date - which I'm not keen on pushing back), but we are going to have the small wedding I've always wanted - just us and close family and the venue we currently have might be to big for just 16 people... so maybe we should compromise and have 30 people or move he venue to somewhere else?!

Wedding Planning - V2.0

So as I mentioned earlier, due to complications I now only have 5 months to plan the wedding - which if I am honest is more suited to me... gives me less time to stress and worry, the wedding can be as small and intimate as I want, and cheap as chips : )

So far we have the wedding venue booked, the photographer on hold and registrar confirmed. My H2B think's we should wait a little longer and change the date... but the 3rd of September is OUR wedding day to me now!!

I think I am going to make this wedding a lot smaller - just family and close friends... maybe 30 people, big dinner around one table, home made cakes, bunting and wild flowers...

I am going to get my dress and bridesmaid (just one) my sister a dress of the high street!  Flowers will make on the day from the table decoration flowers...

What I would still like:

Marshmallows by the fire place

Good shoes
Theme - none, just relaxed family fun!

So my fellow brides to be, I haven't been completely honest with you... at the beginning of this year 2011 my H2B and me went our separate ways, it was horrid!  I got cold feet and panicked and he did the man thing of closing off... we'd been having a few problems and with the wedding getting closer and closer it felt like we couldn't solve them.

But there is a happy ending to this story, barely five weeks apart and we started seeing each other again, solved the problems - recaptured that initial love we had for each other and the wedding is back on!!

Which means I now only have 5.5 months to plan the wedding... so I've decided to shake things up.
