GET THE LOOK - Desert Themed Wedding

A hot sandy desert is where I'd rather be right now than cold, rainy London!!  Hot and dry : )

So you'll need somewhere warm... cactus, desert flowers, simple colours and decorations - lots of pebbles and sand.  Perfect for a BBQ reception!!

GET THE LOOK - Spanish Themed Wedding

This week see the start of the Spanish Festival 'Running of the Bulls' in Pamplona... Bulls are released to run to the bull ring, taking only 2.5 mins and runner from all over the world test their bravely and skill to avoid possible death!

You may not be a fan of bull fighting, but it is part of the culture!  So we are going to look at Spanish themed weddings inspired by this festival.

GET THE LOOK - Ice Cream Themed Wedding

Ice Cream... well to start with, YUM!  You could have an ice cream coloured themed wedding, have your wedding reception at the ice cream parlour, getting married on a hot summers day (obviously not in the UK, he he) invite an ice cream van to your wedding reception - who doesn't love a 99!

Or theme your whole day around the ice cream cone, cakes, bouquets, favours, decorations... sugary sweet.

Letting Go Takes Love!

So as you all know, around the end of last year/beginning of this year me and my H2B had a rough patch and postponed the wedding and took sometime apart to reassess...

We rekindled our love and got back together after only a few weeks, but kept the wedding on the back burner as to not add any unnecessary pressure.  It is with a heavy heart that I tell you all after 5 months back together we were unable to resolve the underlying problem in our relationship and have decided it is for the best to stop trying, as we love each other greatly and wish to keep that feeling, and remember our time together fondly!

So after 4.5 years together I am coming to terms with being single again, no longer with the plans I once had -  home, marriage, babies... as they say what is your 5 year plan, I no longer have an answer to that!

But what I can say is he was my first real love, and will forever hold a special place in my heart.  I wish him the best of luck for the future and hope he finds happiness, and myself, so that one day we can be friends.  For now though I will focus on myself!

I feel no sadness or regret and harbour no bitter feelings, if I have learnt one thing it is that life sometimes is not a fairytale and I would rather we walk away now, than get married and make it worse.  I hope other people who may be reading this and are in a similar situation can take hope that IT WILL BE OKAY.

Type 'love is letting go' into Google and you will come across some great quotes to inspire you!

I still plan to blog about weddings, because even though I am no longer a bride to be, I am still very excited by weddings.

Wedding Weekend!

So this weekend just gone 2/3rd July was the weekend for Weddings...

Abbey Clany and Peter Crouch said their vows at the Four Star Staple Park Hotel on June 30th, the bride wore a Giles Deacon dress, rumored to have cost £10k.

Kate Moss and Jamie Hince married on Saturday July 2nd at St Peter Church near her Cotswold's home, the bride wore a John Galliano gown and had 15 bridesmaid, including her daughter.  The reception was held at Kate's £2m mansion in the Cotswold's - the party was rumored to last 3 days, neighbour claim it end late on Sunday morning though!

Prince Albert and Charlene Wittstock married in a 3 day ceremony in Monaco this weekend, starting on July 1st.  After a week of speculation to whether the wedding would go ahead due to claim Prince Albert had fathered a further child during their romance, and the bride trying to run away on 3 occasions...
The bride wore Giorgio Armani during their intimate religious ceremony on Friday evening... as they left the venue she even shed a tear!

Finally not so much a celebrity wedding but a old colleague married her long term partner on Saturday July 2nd - Congratulations to Hannah Sneddon and Ian Battison!
