GET THE LOOK: Horse Themed Wedding

2014 Year of the Horse on the Chinese calendar.  If you are lucky to be getting married this year, maybe a horse themed wedding... or for those who've most likely already planned their wedding.  How about a little extra luck with a small horse charm on the day?

GET THE LOOK: Baby Breath (flower) Themed Wedding

Baby breath usually added to other bouquets to fill them out... but this lovely flower should not be ignored.  In a larger bunch they can make rather outstanding flowers on their own!

Simple, white, delicate and clean lines.

GET THE LOOK: Snake Themed Wedding

So this year is the Year of the Horse and 2013 was the Year of the Snake... so only another 11 years and we'll be back to snakes.  Anyone planning a snake themed wedding here are a few ideas!

GET THE LOOK: Petting Farm Themed Wedding

Who, what and where now in their right mind would want smelly, noisy animals at their wedding??? Me that's who and all those animal lovers out there.  Cute, an alternative entertainment, and if you have a mostly family oriented big day with lots of small children this is perfect to stop the boredom.

You can style it out to be a vintage country, modern farmer chic or maybe even a preppy country Manor House affair!

GET THE LOOK: Bunny Themed Wedding

Rabbits / Bunny are big for spring / summer decorations this year... add a few to your 2014 Wedding and be on trend!

Depending on how you go about this you can avoid looking like a children's' party, over Easter overkill.

For those American followers of mine, go big on Peeps - who doesn't love their marshmallow goodness :-)

Lake District Wedding Venues

When talking with the boyf about weddings, the only thing he's really had any input on is that he would, one, like to get married in Autumn late Sept/ Oct time and two, get married in Scotland or the Lake District... he loves though backdrops, water, mountains... (manly)!

Here are four lovely options I have even considered if we were to get married.

Augill Castle - my personal favourite

Wedding Venue Review - Hartsfield Manor

Hartsfield Manor is part of the De Vere Venues group - with lovely venues all over the UK!  We spent a night at their Surrey venue over Christmas.

The house and grounds itself are lovely, would make a great backdrop to anyone's big day.  The only disappointment would if you are staying in the rooms they built at the side of the house... looks like a cheap prefab school building, the rooms are good but badly proportioned!

They do offer great value on some of the Wedding Packages - check them out here
